Vincent, fondly known as Vinny, lived his life with a quiet sense of rebellion—not in defiance of others, but through an unwavering commitment to who he was. He remained true to his values, his identity, and his heart, never bending to meet expectations or measuring himself by the opinions of others. Instead, he lived according to what he believed in, and that authenticity was one of his greatest gifts. He found joy in the things he loved, like playing darts, admiring classic cars, and spending time at the shop with his best friend. Vinny had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, who seemed to sense his gentle and caring nature. He also found joy in the small act of kindness of feeding the neighborhood squirrels, taking time to care for even the smallest of God’s creatures.
He was larger than life in the way he loved and showed up for others. Endlessly supportive and encouraging, he was always ready with a kind word or a steady presence when it was needed most. Friendly by nature, he had a gift for connecting with everyone he met, earning the nickname “The Mayor” among those who knew and loved him. He brought light and positivity wherever he went, leaving a lasting impression on so many lives.
Being a husband, father, brother, and grandfather was his greatest joy. He loved his family deeply and took pride in every moment he shared with them—from spontaneous trips to Amish Country and Sonic for ice cream, to breakfast runs for bagels, sunny days spent poolside, and his endless collection of dad jokes that always brought laughter. He gave the warmest hugs, the kind that made his family feel safe and unconditionally loved. Vincent showed his love in countless ways, especially through the steady care, comfort, and presence he gave so freely.
More than the memories themselves, it was the way he made everyone feel—loved, included, and at home—that will be remembered most. Vinny's presence was the heart of every gathering, and his love will continue to live on in every story told, every laugh that echoes, and every quiet moment when he is deeply missed. Through laughter, stories, and simply being together, he created a legacy of love that will never fade, and a void that will forever be felt in the lives he touched.
Vincent is survived by his wife, MaryEllen Sexton, his daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Jesse Schierenback, his children Kaitlyn Sexton and Vincent Sexton, his brother Kenny Sexton and his wife Janneth Semanate Sexton, his grandchildren Jailene Schierenback, Briana Schierenback, Jesse Schierenback Jr., and his cousins Jeanne Sexton Romaine and Eric Romaine.
