Victor Castellano Sr.

Victor Castellano Sr., 94, a loving and devoted father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026, at Bayside Manor in Keansburg, New Jersey surrounded by his loving family.

 Victor was born on June 7, 1932, in Newark, New Jersey, where he was raised and laid the foundation for his life. In 1967, he moved to Aberdeen Township, New Jersey, where he remained for the rest of his life and raised his family with devotion, strength, and pride. He was known fondly throughout his neighborhood of 57 years as “Mr. C,” a name spoken with affection by those who knew him best.

Victor was a hardworking man who spent many years employed at Radio Electronics Laboratory in Long Island City, New York. He also had his own business, Brookwood Janitorial Maintenance, where his strong work ethic and dependable nature were appreciated by all who worked alongside him. He approached every job with dedication and took pride in providing for his family.

He was a founder and longtime member of the Italian American Club in Laurence Harbor and valued the friendships and sense of community he found there, quickly turning into one big family. In his spare time, Victor enjoyed golfing, bowling with his bowling league, gardening, and spending time at the beach. He especially loved music, and whenever there was a song playing, he could be found dancing. His joyful spirit, warm smile, and easy laughter brought happiness to those around him, and he was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Victor was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in being present for the people he loved most. He was an especially involved grandfather, always ready to babysit, pick up his grandchildren, and be there whenever they needed him. He never missed an award ceremony, competition, or graduation. He was a constant presence at soccer and hockey games, no matter how far he had to travel, and he always enjoyed chatting with the other parents on the sidelines. His grandchildren knew they could count on him, and his love and support were felt in every stage of their lives.

Above all, Victor lived a life defined by love, kindness, and generosity. He was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who always put his family first. His loving nature, friendly spirit, and generous heart touched everyone who knew him. He will be remembered with deep affection and lasting gratitude, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to share in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Angelina Castellano, his dear brother and sisters, Gerald, Marie, Columbia, and Virginia, and his cherished lady-friend, Marie Campbell. He is survived by his loving children, Denise Delaney, Victor Castellano Jr., and Mario Castellano, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Bobby Delaney, Brandon Delaney, Justin Delaney, Nicole Delaney, and Amanda Castellano, three treasured great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
