Traci Lee (Gibson) Callender

Traci Lee Callender, 62, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.  Traci was born on February 22, 1956 in Garden City, Michigan and grew up in Edison, New Jersey.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from William Paterson University, and a Master’s in Library Science from Clarion University.  She was employed as a Reference Librarian with the Ocean County Library, Lacey Branch until shortly before her passing.  Her greatest joys were her family, literature, music, and outreach.

Traci was predeceased by her parents, John and Joyce Gibson.  She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Clark Lynn Callender, her daughters Samantha Joyce Callender and Rachel Aileen Callender, her sister Lynn Allen and husband Jim, sister Janis Gibson, brother Jon Gibson, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A truly beautiful woman in every sense of the word, she will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  In respect of Traci’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Saint John’s United Methodist Church, 2000 Florence Avenue, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A reception will follow at the church.  Traci’s remains will be interred at a family plot at a cemetery in Pennsylvania at a later date.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
