Theodore Nesson, 98, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Menlo Park Veteran’s Memorial Home in Edison, New Jersey. Theodore was born on November 20, 1926, in Newark, New Jersey, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Mary. Theodore and Mary were married on January 14, 1950 and started their life together in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Shortly after, they settled in Rahway, where they raised their family and in 2014, they retired to Holmdel. Before his retirement, Theodore worked as a Defense Contractor for the U.S. Government in Springfield, New Jersey. Theodore was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post in Clark, New Jersey, for many years and was extremely dedicated to helping with Veterans and often participated in organizing monetary collections. Most of all, Theodore was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He was filled with courage, strength, and love that he gifted to all he could, always sharing a smile and a joke to make people feel happiness and joy. He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Theodore was predeceased by his parents, Israel and Helen (Traurig) Nesson, his daughter, Marlene Nesson, and his four sisters. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Mary (Monticello) Nesson, his loving son, Mark Nesson and his wife, Illya, and his cherished grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Nesson.
