Susana Elisa Gerdowsky

Susana Elisa Gerdowsky,  77 of Hazlet, New Jersey passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023 at Anchor Care, Hazlet, New Jersey.  Susana was born on May 24, 1945, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. In 1952 she moved to Manhattan and later to Brooklyn. Susana moved to Rosedale, New York in 1976. In 1992 along with her son, she moved to Minnesota. In 1996 she moved to Copaige, New York and in 2007 to Hazlet, New Jersey where she remained. 

Susana retired after many years of being a dedicated nurse.   She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Susana was known for amazing seamstress skills making detailed costumes for her children and grandchildren. 

She also had a gift for baking beautiful character cakes for birthdays as well as intricate multi tiered cakes for special occasions. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. 

Susana is predeceased by her beloved parents, Manuel and Judith (Mendez) Quintana and a wonderful grandchild, Ariana Napolitano.   She is survived by her loving husband, John T. Gersowsky, her devoted children, Julie Urban and her husband Kevin of Copiague, New York and Thomas Gerdowsky and his wife Christina of Waconia, Minnesota, caring siblings, Manuel Quintana and his wife Maryann, Armando Figueroa, Hector Figueroa and his wife Nancy and Julio Figueroa and his wife Evelyn, cherished grandchildren, Anthony Napolitano, Jacob Gerdowsky and Samantha Gerdowsky.
