Stephen T. Dougherty, born on June 11, 1969, in Jersey City, passed away at the age of 57 on June 25, 2026, at Bayshore Medical Center.
Stephen was the beloved son of the late John Joseph and Gladys (Vottler) Dougherty. He was also predeceased by his dear sister, Cathy. He is survived by his loving children Asja, Somer, and Somer’s boyfriend, Mike, as well as his caring and longtime companion, Annmarie. He leaves behind his siblings, Debbie and her husband Butch, Donna, and John and his wife Kathleen. Stephen was a proud grandfather to Jay and Colton. He will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
Stephen retired after spending many years working in the shipping industry. He was versatile in both trucking and dispatching, and he earned the respect of those who worked alongside him through his reliability and knowledge.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoyed a wide range of interests that brought him happiness and relaxation. He was a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Rams and especially admired Aaron Donald. Stephen also enjoyed fishing, bowling, history and war movies, and rock music.
