Sherry M. (Favor) Salerno

Sherry M. Salerno, 76, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.  She was born Sherry M. Layne on March 9, 1948, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she met her beloved husband, Dominick.  On December 12, 1970, Sherry and Dominick were married and began their life together in Jersey City, before moving to Hazlet in 1975, where they remained to raise their family.  In 1999, they settled in Holmdel.  Sherry was a loving wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.  She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Mae Elizabeth (Cornish) Favor, her siblings, Trini Saltzman and Eugene Layne, and her brothers-in-law, Anthony Salerno, Michael Salerno, John Salerno, and Joseph Salerno.  Sherry is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 54 years, Dominick Salerno, her loving children, Dominick Salerno III and his wife, Melissa, of Fords, Michael Salerno of Port Monmouth, and Dena Clark and her husband, Chris, of Keyport, her dear sisters, Nancy Jill, Chickie Farricker, and Cindi Hulse, her treasured sisters-in-law, Sandy Layne, Louise Salerno, Pat Salerno, Ginny Salerno, and Carol Salerno, her cherished grandchildren, Alexandra Clark, Samantha Salerno, Riley Salerno, and Christian Clark, and many adoring nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
