Shaugn Michael Kenny, 27, of N. Middletown, New Jersey, passed away suddenly surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 3, 2025, at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey. Shaugn was born on April 17, 1997, in Jersey City and was raised his entire life in Middletown. Shaugn attended the Middletown public school system as part of their autistic program. He was a student at New Monmouth and Nut Swamp Elementary School, Bayshore Middle School, and graduated from Middletown High School South.
Shaugn loved to travel. Disney World was one of his favorite places to visit and he enjoyed taking cruises. He also loved music, dancing, pulling fire alarms, beeping the car horn 4 times, and being surrounded by his beloved family. Shaugn’s laugh was contagious, and he was adored by everyone who knew him. To know Shaugn was to love him. He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, John “Jack” Kenny, Patricia (Boyce) Kenny, and Mary (Lee) Martin, his beloved father, Lawrence Kenny, and his aunts and uncles, Phyllis Lee, Kathleen Petitt, Mary Pat Kenny, John “Jackie” Kenny, and James Kenny. Shaugn is survived by his adoring mother, Felicia (Martin) Kenny, his loving sister, Savannah Lynn Kenny, his cherished aunt, Carmelina Kenny, and his dear aunts and uncles, Darrel Martin, Della Martin, Bruce Singleton, May Singleton, and Victoria Singleton, along with many adoring and treasured cousins, other extended family members and many friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A church service will be offered on Monday morning, February 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM at New Life Church of Christ, 101 Kearney Avenue, Jersey City, New Jersey 07304.
