Satish M. Shah

Satish M. Shah, 92, of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  Satish was born on February 10, 1929 in Ahmedabad, India.  He grew up in India and at 20 years old came to the United States. Satish started his life in the United States in New York City as a student at Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute, where he received his Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering.  While living in New York City, Satish met his beloved wife, Ellen.  Shortly after, they were married at Riverside Church and started their family in Rockland County, New York.  After retirement, they moved to San Diego, California and spent many happy, sunny days there with their two grandchildren, family, and friends.  In their final years, Satish and Ellen returned to New Jersey to be closer to their siblings and other family members here.

He was predeceased by his parents, Maneklal and Taraben (Parekh) Shah, his sister, Kusum Trivedi, his brother, Suresh Shah, his beloved and devoted wife, Ellen Shah, and his close friends, Irene, Howard, and Mamie.  Satish is survived by his loving daughters, Tara Shah of Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, and Monika Humphrey of Poway, California, his dear brother, Ashwin Shah and his wife, Manjula, his cherished grandchildren, Patrick and Bryan Humphrey, and his treasured life-long friends, Regina, Ellen and Tom, and Fay.  Satish will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
