Sara Elizabeth Zelko, born on October 1, 1982, passed away on October 1, 2026, in Marmora, New Jersey, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion that will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was the beloved daughter of Robert Zelko and Judith (Lelchuk) Avalon, and the cherished mother of Nolan Morad. She is also survived by her brother, Jeffrey Zelko, her special friends Ashley Bianchi, Courtney Baia, and Elleni Zelko, and the father of her cherished child, Daniel Morad. Sara’s family and friends will forever hold close the warmth of her spirit, the kindness of her heart, and the steady love she gave so freely throughout her life.
Sara grew up in Hollywood, Florida, where she developed the bright personality and generous nature that would remain with her always. In 2000, she went on to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she began to further shape the creative gifts that would become such an important part of her life and career. She had a natural eye for beauty and detail, and she carried that talent into every endeavor she pursued.
After college, Sara took a position in Chicago working for Tiffany & Co., where she began building the professional path that would become a defining part of her life. She later made her way to Manhattan, where she worked in Client Development at Tiffany & Co. on Fifth Avenue, and it was there that her career truly took off. Sara was deeply proud of her work and found great joy in being part of a company she loved. She valued the relationships she built with clients and colleagues, and she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for others.
Sara especially loved making and designing jewelry, and her appreciation for beauty was reflected in both her work and her personal life. She loved working for Tiffany’s and being part of customer service, where she found fulfillment in helping others and making meaningful connections. She made many business friends over the years, and she loved each one of them deeply. Her kindness, loyalty, and ability to make others feel valued left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Those who knew Sara will remember her as a loving woman whose presence brought comfort and joy. She was devoted to her son, proud of her family, and deeply connected to the people she loved. Her life was marked by compassion, creativity, and a sincere desire to bring happiness to others. She had a way of making people feel seen and appreciated, and that gift will remain one of her most treasured legacies.
