Samy Khalil Obituary

Samy F. Khalil, who was born on January 17, 1952, in Beba, Egypt, and passed away on June 7, 2026, in Old
Bridge, New Jersey, lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, and deep love for his family. He was a loving
husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brought comfort, strength, and steady
guidance to those around him. His life reflected the values of faith, perseverance, and generosity, and he will
be remembered with great affection by all who knew him.

Born and raised in Beba, Egypt, Samy carried the lessons of his early life with him wherever he went. In
1980, a defining year in his life, he married his beloved wife, Salwa (Kamel) Khalil, and moved to the United
States, settling in Jersey City. Together, they built a life rooted in commitment and resilience. In 1995, they
moved to Union Beach, and in 1999 they settled in Matawan, where they raised their two sons and created a
warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and family traditions.

He was a retired chief engineer for the U.S. Army at Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton, New Jersey, where he
served with dedication and professionalism. His career was a source of pride, and he was known for his
strong work ethic, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence. Through years of service, he
contributed meaningfully to his work and left behind a legacy of integrity and accomplishment. His
colleagues and associates remember him as a man who could be counted on, both for his knowledge and for
his steady character.

Samy is survived by his wife of 46 years, Salwa (Kamel) Khalil; his son Steven Khalil and his wife Amal; his
son Simon Khalil and his wife Diana; and his cherished grandchildren, Lia Khalil, Mila Khalil, Aria Khalil,
Mikayla Khalil, and Zara Khalil. He is also survived by his sister and brothers, nieces and nephews, and
extended family and friends who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude. He was predeceased
by his parents, Fayez and Fawzya (Younan) Khalil, whose memory remained close to his heart throughout
his life.

Those who knew Samy will remember his loving nature, his quiet strength, and the way he made others feel
supported and valued. He was a man of action and kindness, someone whose life was defined not only by
what he accomplished, but by the care he showed to others. His family was the center of his world, and he
took great joy in watching it grow across generations. The legacy he leaves behind is one of devotion, service,
and enduring love.

Samy F. Khalil will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he
touched. His memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration, and his example of hard work,
loyalty, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
