Salvatore J. Ciccio

Salvatore J. Ciccio, 91, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully at Bayshore Medical Center on April 26, 2023. Salvatore was born on September 10, 1931 to parents Peter and Lilly Ciccio in Queens, NY. Sal worked as a warehouse manager in Kenilworth, New Jersey for over 20 years. He and his wife Eleanor were married on June 6th, 1954 and spend 62 wonderful years together. Sal was also a proud member of the United States Army and heroically served his country in the Korean War era. Sal loved watching western style movies, Yankees baseball, and sitting out in the sun with a good cigar. He would hang in his garage and the whole neighborhood would come by to shake his hand and share a smoke. Most of all, Salvatore was a family man, and truly loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Salvatore is predeceased by his parents Peter and Lilly Ciccio, his loving wife of 62 years Eleanor (Pompeo) Ciccio, and his son-in-law Fred Varlese. He is survived by his children Marie Varlese, Peter Ciccio, and John Ciccio and his wife Lisa, and his grandchildren Denise and her husband Mark, Michelle and her husband Mike, John Jr. and his wife Katy, Joseph, Anthony, Kaila, Gina, and Jason. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Tyler, Hailey, Brayden, Myles, Sophia, Grady, Aubrey, and Eleanor, his Brother-In-Law Pat and Sister-In-Law Carol, his good friends Kevin and Joan O’Brien, and many other extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday, May 1, 2023 from 10:00AM to 10:45AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 10:30 AM on Monday May 1, 2023.  Interment will follow at approximately 11:30 AM at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Cemetery Road, Woodbridge Township, New Jersey 07095.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
