Sabina A (Azzollini) Calabrese

Sabina A. Calabrese, 83, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey.  She was born Sabina Azzollini, on May 11, 1940, in Hoboken, New Jersey. At the age of sixteen she met the love of her life, Louis Calabrese, they later married on February 9, 1963. They lived in various places before settling with their family in Hazlet, New Jersey in 1976.  Sabina was a communicant of Saint Joseph R.C. Church, Keyport. She was a member of the Hazlet Senior Club and the Hazlet Pool Club. She will be remembered for her amazing cooking and her love of entertaining, especially celebrating holidays and birthdays

Sabina was predeceased by her beloved parents, Onofrio and Dora (Ferrigno) Azzollini and a brother, Nicholas Azzollini. She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Calabrese, her cherished children, Sabrina Obreiter and her husband Anthony of Keyport, New Jersey, Louis Calabrese Jr., and his wife Stacey of Ponte Vedra , Florida and Jason Calabrese and his wife Lauri of Keyport, New Jersey, her adoring grandchildren, Kimberly Marteloze, Samantha Obreiter, Dominique Calabrese, David Jones, Louis Calabrese, Aeryk Obreiter, Madison Calabrese and Mackenzie Calabrese, and a caring sister, Carmella Cosentino. Sabina was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed, never forgotten and forever loved.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Saint Joseph R.C. Church, of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735. Entombment will follow at Saint Jospeh Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
