Rosemary (Rooney) Mulligan

Rosemary Rooney Mulligan, 67, of Hazlet, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, New Jersey. She was born Rosemary Rooney on November 6, 1955, in Staten Island, New York. Rosemary met the love of her life, Mark Mulligan and they were married on November 1, 1987.  Together they began their beautiful life and moved to Hazlet in 1993. Rosemary was a dedicated registered nurse, she enjoyed her career working at Richmond University Medical Center, formerly Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Staten Island, New York.  She was a devoted, daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Rosemary was predeceased by her beloved parents, Thomas and Rosemarie (Vastola) Rooney and her wonderful brother, Thomas Rooney. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Mark Mulligan, her cherished children, Matthew Mulligan and his wife Czarina of Staten Island, New York, Ryan Mulligan of Hazlet, New Jersey and Julie Mulligan of Hazlet, New Jersey, her step-daughter Jessica Mulligan of Staten Island, New York, her caring sister, Sallyann Jauch and her husband Raymond, her sister-in-law, Denise Rooney and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. Eulogy will be given on Thursday night at 8:00 PM.
