Rosemary LaBarbera

Rosemary LaBarbera, 66, of Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Staten Island University Hospital North.  Rosemary was born on July 30, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, where she was raised.  In 2000, she settled in Staten Island, New York with her loving family.  Before her retirement, Rosemary worked for Citibank in Manhattan, New York for many years as an Financial Administrative Assistant.

Rosemary had an unwavering and beautiful inner strength and resilience that helped carry her through some of the toughest times in life.  She loved sports, especially basketball, and in her younger years you could often find Rosemary on 13th Avenue in Bensonhurst Brooklyn taking her shots with off track betting.  She also enjoyed horseback riding, traveling, and going on cruises and she had a special place in her heart for all animals. Most of all, Rosemary was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend to many.  She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.  

She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Marie (Randazzo) LaBarbera, and her grandparents, Jennie and Charles Randazzo, and Rose and Charles LaBarbera.  Rosemary is survived by her loving brother, Charles E. LaBarbera and his wife, Samise, of Woodbourne, New York, her cherished niece and nephew, Catherine and Sean LaBarbera, and her adoring cousin, Camille Lafata, along with many more cherished cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday morning, June 18, 2021 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Thursday evening at approximately 6:30/7:00 PM.  Entombment will follow Friday morning’s visitation hours at Pinelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11735.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
