Rose F. Longo, 87, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully at Atlantic Coast Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lakewood, NJ. She was born Rose F. Ferullo on January 4, 1935, in Jersey City, New Jersey where she grew up. Rose and her beloved husband, Anthony, were married on May 23, 1953, and began their life together in Jersey City. In 1957 they moved to Hazlet to raise their family.
After enjoying many years of being a hairdresser and a Teacher’s Aide at Maple Place Preschool in Keyport, New Jersey, Rose retired. Rose loved playing Bingo, as well as shopping for shoes and bras especially at Boscov’s. Rose’s other love was ice cream, and she was known to bypass dinner for ice cream any day. She was also a very big fan of Disney. Most of all, Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Stella Ferullo, as well as her beloved husband, Anthony Longo Sr. Rose is survived by her loving daughter, Debra McManus and her husband, Raymond Sr,. of Lakewood, her sons, Francis Longo of Hazlet and Anthony Longo Jr. and his wife, Roseann, of Howell, and her cherished grandchildren, Raymond McManus Jr., Christopher McManus, Anthony Longo and Matthew Longo.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday morning, July 6, 2022, from 8:30 am until 9:15 am at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Rose at 10:00 am Wednesday morning, July 6, 2022, at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734.
