Rose E. (Gehlbach) Erickson

Rose E. Erickson, 88, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel.  She was born Rose E. Gehlbach on October 8, 1932 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she was raised and started her family.  In the 1960’s, Rose moved to Union Beach, where she continued to raise her children, before settling in Keyport about 20 years ago.  Before her retirement, Rose worked as a manager and cashier for various liquor and convenience stores in New Jersey.  Most of all, Rose was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Rose lived for her family; to her, they were the most important thing in the world.  She was extremely proud of all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Emma (Reiser) Gehlbach, her son, Robert C. Erickson Jr., and her brother, George Gehlbach.  Rose is survived by her loving children, Arthur Erickson of Hazlet, Barbara DeAngelo of Amarillo, Texas, Patricia DeAngelo and her husband, Darren, of Keansburg, and Donna McCann and her husband, Terrance, of Somerdale, New Jersey, her cherished grandchildren, Robert C. Erickson III, Thomas DeAngelo, Melissa Erickson, Nicole DeAngelo, Erin Wilson, Kelsi Blome, Matthew DeAngelo, Kristopher Erickson, Jennifer Erickson, Ashley Hassane, Laura Lopez, Gina Katz, Rachel McCann, Brian McCann, Lauren McCann, and Elsyia DeAngelo, her adored great grandchildren, DJ, Cole, Antonio, Tatum, Hudson, Rylee, Winter, Star, Matthew, Isabella, Tommy, Kaleb, Emmett, Levi, Aiden, Chase, and Charleigh, and her treasured great-great granddaughter, Raya.  Rose will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
