Rosario F. Busardo, fondly known as "Buddy", 93, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Holmdel. Rosario was born on November 26, 1927 in Manhattan, New York, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Maureen. After marriage, Rosario and Maureen started their life together in Manhattan, where they remained to raise their family. In 1995, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey. Before his retirement, Buddy worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. He was also a proud United States Army Veteran, having served our country during World War II. Most of all, Buddy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Elizabeth (Held) Busardo and his beloved wife, Maureen (McMahon) Busardo. Rosario is survived by his loving children, Stephen Busardo and his wife, Christine, of Yonkers, New York, Christopher Busardo and his wife, Julia, of Middletown, New Jersey, and John Busardo and his wife, Maryann, of Astoria, New York, and his dear sister-in-law, Diane Zimpo. Rosario also leaves behind is cherished grandchildren, Dawn Andrews and her husband, Bobby, Jonathan Busardo, Diana Busardo, Christine Busardo, Lauren Busardo, and Michelle Rose Busardo, his adored great grandson, Brayden Andrews, and his treasured niece, Susan Busardo, along with many special extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Thursday morning, October 14, 2021, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday morning, October 14, 2021, at 10:00 AM at The Catholic Church of St. Ann, 311 Carr Avenue, Keansburg, New Jersey 07734.
