Ronald "Ronny" Murphy

Ronald “Ronny” Murphy, 82, of Belford, New Jersey passed away peacefully at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Ronny was born on May 28, 1943, in Jersey City, New Jersey.  He grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey and moved to Belford, New Jersey in the early 1980’s.  He met his wife “Cookie”, they later married on June 12, 1982, and they remained in Belford, New Jersey.  Ronny enjoyed working for twenty-five years for Middletown Township, Department of Public Works, retiring in 2010. Not only was he an avid bowler but more importantly he will be remembered for being the “Best Stepfather” ever.  Ronny was a “Quiet Gentle Man”, he was the “salt “and Cookie was the “spice”. 

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine (Kelly) Murphy, his son, Matty and many brothers and sisters.  Ronny is survived by his wife, “Cookie”, his daughters, Marybeth Donnelly and her husband Neil and Rhonda O’Neill and her husband Bobby and his grandchildren, Marrah and Jagger.  Ronny was a devoted, son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.  He will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
