Roger Peterson

Roger Peterson, 80, of Brick, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2022 at Ocean Medical Center. He was born on March 7, 1941 in Newark, New Jersey. Roger lived in Point Pleasant prior to settling in Brick in 2001. He was a proud  United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Meridian Health Corp as a maintenance technician.

Roger was predeceased by his mother Vivian Royle, father in law John Hrabosky, Sr. mother in law Mary E. Hrabosky, and his brother in laws Richard Hrabosky, John Hrabosky, Jr., Mitchell Shade and Gregory Paginini.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years ( February 21, 1976) Mary (Hrabosky) Peterson, his loving children Jennifer Brooke Koegel and her husband Walter, of Wall, New Jersey, Shannon Nicole Fream and her husband Patrick of Brick, New Jersey, along with his cherished grandchildren Leeah Koegel, Ryan Marini and Finley Fream, his dear siblings Victoria Royle, Eugene Royle, Vivian Paginini, Daniel Royle, Roy Thomas Royle and his wife Betty, Dorothy McMahan and her husband Dennis, his sister in laws Catherine Shade and Charlene Hrabosky, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Most of all, Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday afternoon, January 25, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during the afternoon visitation hours along with military honor service. In respect of Rogers's wishes, he will be privately cremated.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Roger to St. Judes Childrens Hospital,  Wounded Warriors or American Cancer Society would be appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
