Rocco Valluzzi

Rocco Valluzzi, 59, of Hazlet, New Jersey passed suddenly away at home on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.  Rocco was born in Matera, Italy on September 13, 1965. Along with his parents, Rocco moved to Brooklyn, New York in the late 1960’s, he met the love of his life Suzanne Entler and they later married on September 27, 1996.  In 2000, they moved to Hazlet, New Jersey where they remained with their loving son, Vincent. Rocco was a retired and dedicated carpenter for Local, 157, New York City, New York, where he worked for many years.  Rocco got much enjoyment coaching for the Hazlet Youth Athletic League basketball team. Rocco looked forward to watching sports, especially the Giants, Mets, Knicks and Islanders. He loved life, his family and was an amazing dad. 

Rocco was predeceased by his beloved parents, Vincenzo and Domenica (Difato) Valluzzi.  He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Suzanne Entler Valluzzi, his cherished son, Vincent Valluzzi, his caring brothers, Frank Valluzzi and his wife Joana of Huntington, New York and Anthony Valluzzi and his wife Elizabeth of Richmond Town, New York, as well as his loving nephews and nieces Justin Valluzzi, Jared Valluzzi, Alexa Valluzzi, Danielle Valluzzi, and his dear mother-in-law, Carolyn Entler.  Rocco was a dedicated, son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.  He will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten. 

Family and friends may visit on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey   07730.  A Prayer Service will be held during the visitation at 7:30 PM. In respect of Rocco’s wishes, he will be privately cremated.  In lieu of flowers, it would be greatly appreciated by the family that donations in his memory be made to the Hazlet Youth Athletic League (HYAL).  Checks can be mailed to HYAL, PO Box 152, Hazlet, NJ 07730 or Venmo @HYAL-info, with a note expressing the donation in the name of Rocco Valluzzi.
