Robert E. Meurer

Robert E. Meurer, 60, of Hazlet, passed away at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, New Jersey on Monday, December 20, 2021. Robert was born on November 9, 1961, in Staten Island New York. He married his wife of 28 years, Elizabeth (Brady) Meurer on December 3, 1993. In 2000, he moved to Hazlet, New Jersey where he raised his family. He was a Manager for Pep Boys on Forest Avenue in Staten Island, NY. Robert was a devout communicant of St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel, New Jersey where he fervently served as a Eucharistic Minister. Robert was also very involved with the Religious Education Program, in particular the "Confirmation Team." Robert will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his father, Peter Meurer and his brother, Kevin Meurer. Robert is survived by his dear mother, Eleanor (Sullivan) Meurer, his beloved and devoted wife, Elizabeth (Brady) Meurer, his loving children, Mary-Kate Meurer, Dylan Meurer, and Erin Meurer, his caring siblings, Peter Meurer and his wife, Lenore, Michael Meurer and his wife, Laurie, Donald Meurer, Peggy Meurer, and Brian Meurer, and his sister-in-law Joanne Meurer.  Robert is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, December 26, 2021, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM Monday morning, December 27, 2021, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, December 27, 2021, at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07730.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
