Robert E. McGrogan

Robert E. McGrogan, 74 of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on October 29, 2022 at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey surrounded by the love of his family. Robert was born on December 29, 1947 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He grew up and lived  in Southern Ireland until settling in Hazlet, New Jersey in 2014. He was employed at St Benedict Church and School in Holmdel, New Jersey as  maintenance engineer. 

He was predeceased by parents Robert and Sheila (Julia) Murphy McGrogan and his sister Catherine McGrogan.  Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years (November 23, 1968) Veronica (Rona) Carthy McGrogan, his loving children Robert  Patrick McGrogan and his wife Barbara of Ireland, Sheelagh McGrogan and her husband John Moteyunas of Middletown, New Jersey, Mark McGrogan and his wife Rachel of  Ireland, along with his cherished grandchildren John Robert Monteyunas, Robert Joseph McGrogan, Sean McGrogan, Glenn McGrogan and Katie McGrogan. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, November 4nd 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM,  at Shore Point Funeral Home, 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday November 5, 2022 at St. Benedict’s Church, 165 Bethany Rd., Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.   In respect of Robert's wishes he will be privately cremated.
