Born on November 20, 1959, in the Bronx, New York.  He was the beloved husband to Milagros Martinez and son of the late Robert and Josefa (Ortiz) Martinez. He was a man whose life was marked by devotion to family, hard work, and a warm, loving spirit that touched all who knew him.

Robert was born and raised in the Bronx, where he developed the strong character, loyalty, and pride that would remain with him throughout his life. In 2009, he moved to Hazlet, New Jersey, where he made his home and continued to build a life centered on family, friendship, and the simple joys that meant the most to him. He was predeceased by his grandson, Justin Rosario, whose memory remained close to his heart. Robert is also survived by his sisters, Yvonne Martinez and her husband Rogelio, and Lisa Marie Martinez, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Robert lived life with enthusiasm and a deep appreciation for the things he loved. He was a devoted baseball fan, especially when it came to the New York Yankees, and he also cheered faithfully for the New York Jets. He enjoyed the outdoors and found peace and happiness in nature. As an avid outdoorsman, he especially loved hunting, and he valued the quiet moments and traditions that came with it.
