Robert H. Lo

Robert H. Lo, 92, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 10, 2025.  Robert was born on July 5, 1932, in Guangdong, China and grew up in Taiwan, where he graduated from the National Taiwan University.  Robert came to the United States to attend graduate school at the University of Tennessee.  In 1962, Robert and his wife, Rufina, were married and began their life together in NJ where they raised their children, Richard and Elaine in Bloomfield. Robert worked as a chemical engineer for Hoffmann-La Roche and the Department of Defense at Picatinny Arsenal.  In 1999, Robert and Rufina retired in Holmdel, New Jersey.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends traveling, playing mahjong and tennis, and investing in the stock market. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Rufina C. Lo, his children, Richard Lo and his wife, Sunny Lo, of Ocean Township, and Elaine Lo and her husband, Bernard Yu, of Piedmont, California, his grandchildren, Rebekah Lo, Sabrina Lo, Katie Yu, and Emily Yu, and his siblings, Ruby Tsao of Seattle, Dr. Kenneth Lo of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Robert Lo of Taipei, Taiwan, and Chien-Hsin Lo of China.

He was predeceased by his parents, three older siblings in Taiwan, and his US siblings, Hank Lo and Julie Chen. 

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 3:30 PM.
