Robert P. Horan, 70, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 7, 2024, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey. Robert was born on September 23, 1954, in Newark, New Jersey. He grew up in Kearney, and in 1972 moved to Union Beach and in 1992 settled in Hazlet where he remained. He was fondly known as Bob to his family and friends. Prior to Bob’s retirement, he worked as a Glazier and member of Local 1009, District 711. Bob was also a proud United States Navy Veteran. Above all, Bob was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Doris Jewell Horan, and two of his four sisters Dorothy Jean Horan and Marilyn Brittian. Robert is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 30 years, Pamela Jimenez Horan, and his loving children, Shane Robert Horan and his partner Adalberto Ramos of New York, New York, Peter Bellew and his wife Leigh-Ann of Odenton, Maryland, Brian Bellew and his wife Rosemarie of Red Bank, New Jersey, Carolyn Giordano and her husband Kevin of Mendham Township, New Jersey, his sisters Sharon Horan and Lorraine Horan-Macdonald of Pennsylvania, his cherished grandchildren, Bryan, Justin, Katherine, Peter, Jr., Liam, and Mark, along with many treasured nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. The Church of Saint Ann will be offering a prayer service for Bob at the funeral home at 6:00 PM. In respect of Bob’s wishes, he will be privately cremated. Bob’s cremains will be interred at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
