Richard E. Warren, 70, of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at Complete Care, Holmdel, New Jersey on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Richie was born on May 22, 1954, in Newark, New Jersey. Richard grew up in Old Bridge, New Jersey and remained in the area. He met and later married the love of his life, Cheryl A. Daniele on April 17, 1982, at Saint Benedict Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel, New Jersey, where they remained parishioners. He retired after many dedicated years from The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, where he worked as a Tunnel and Bridge Agent. He was an avid car enthusiast. Throughout his life, he had fun going to Raceway Park, Englishtown, New Jersey. With a smile on Cheryl’s face she says that” He never met a Dodge or Plymouth, he didn’t like”.
Richie is predeceased by his beloved parents, Lenwood and Helen (Lewis) Warren and his brother, Raymond Warren. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cheryl A. Danielle Warren, his caring sister, Elizabeth Guenther and her husband Dennis, his dear mother in law, Mildred Vitaris and his cherished nieces and nephews, Keith Guenther, Robbie Warren and Nicole Schwartz. Richie was a devoted, son, husband, brother, son in law and uncle. He will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM, on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Saint Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07730. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to Home Free Animal Rescue, in Richard’s name would be greatly appreciated.
