Quinton Maddux Obituary

Quinton E. Maddux, 68, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on December 12, 1951 in Richmond, Virginia where he grew up. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army.  He lived in Maryland for short period of time and then was recruited and joined the army. After serving he married his beloved wife Eliza Jones Maddux on August 3, 1973 and they began there life together. He retired from the Newark Police Department after many years of loyal service.

Quinton was predeceased by his dear father Walter Scott Maddux, and his sisters Thelma Price and Antoinette Maddux.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years Eliza Jones Maddux, his loving daughter Jamie Donahue and her husband Brian of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, his dear beloved mother Lonell Rainey Maddux, his dear siblings Sherman Maddux,Kathy Butler, Aldrena Payne, Patricia Reid and his cherished grandchildren Maddux McAndrews and Avery Donahue.  He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Quinton services will be held in Kenbridge, Virginia where he was born and raised.. He will be interred in his family's cemetery, The Maddux Family Cemetery in Kenbridge, Virginia. Service there will be handled by S.P. Jones Funeral Home, 208 N. Broad Street, Kenbridge, Virginia 23944 .
