Peter Pagan, 88, of Manalapan, New Jersey, passed away in his home in the Covered Bridge community in Manalapan, NJ on Thursday, April 11, 2024. He was born on June 7th, 1935, in Boquerón, Puerto Rico where he was raised by his mother, Carmen Pagan. After moving to New York City, he met the love of his life, Erna Margaret Gaal. They were married on September 7th, 1957, and started their life and family together in Brooklyn, NY. Peter worked in the printing business as a bookbinder and paper cutter until he retired. In his spare time, he was an avid New York Mets fan, participated in his sons’ Little League and handcrafted scale model wooden ships. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
He was predeceased by his wife of almost 66 years, Erna, who passed away last year. He is survived by his sons, Peter Pagan, Jr. of Manalapan, NJ, Eric Pagan and his wife, Monika, of Marietta, Georgia, Christopher Pagan and his wife, Vivian Lombardo, of Monroe, NJ, and Gary Pagan and his wife, Jessica Figueroa, also of Manalapan, NJ. He also leaves behind his cherished grandsons, Kori Pagan and Kodi Pagan, and his cherished granddaughter, Emma Rose Pagan.
