Patrick J O'Callahan

Patrick J. O’Callahan, 87, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Patrick was born on March 27, 1937, in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Carolann.  Patrick and Carolann were married and started their life and family together in Jersey City, before settling in Hazlet in the early 1970’s.  Patrick was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was also a retired Detective with the Jersey City Police Department.  Above all else, Patrick was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He will be greatly missed, forever loved and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Margaret (Barry) O’Callahan, his beloved wife, Carolann, two sons, Russell Pearce and Michael Pearce, his dear brother, Robert O’Callahan, and his grandson, Bryan Pearce.  Patrick is survived by his loving children, Louise Witkowski and her husband, Mark, Patrick J. O’Callahan and his wife, Rose, Sean O’Callahan and his wife, Kathy, Tracey Purdy and her husband, Matthew, and Barry O’Callahan and his wife, Karin, along with 13 cherished grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, October 17th, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:30 to 8:30 PM and Friday morning, October 18th, 2024, from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A committal service will follow at 12:30 PM at Brigadier General William C.
