Patricia (Griggs) Walter

Patricia Walter, 76, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, September 30, 2023.  She was born Patricia Griggs on November 24, 1946, in Trenton, New Jersey.  Patricia grew up and lived in the Milford, New Jersey area for most of her life, where she remained to raise her children.  Later in life, Patricia settled in Hazlet with her son, Michael Reasoner, and her daughter-in-law, Theresa.

Patricia received two degrees over her lifetime.  First, she received her bachelor’s degree from Ryder University, and at the age of 70, received a second degree in Psychology from Liberty University.  She worked as a software assistant for James River Corporation/Crown Vantage before her retirement and was a pioneer in her software field.  She was also a eucharistic minister for her church for many years. In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed quilting and bowling.  Most of all, Patricia was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many.  She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ellen (Franey) and Frank Griggs, her beloved husband, Ralph Walter, her loving son, John Reasoner, her brother-in-law, Paul Whitney, and her sister-in-law, Carol Griggs.  Patricia is survived by her loving sons, Michael Reasoner and his wife, Theresa, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Kevin Reasoner and his wife, Linda, of Bartlet, Tennessee, her dear siblings, Bill Griggs and Maryellen Whitney, her cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Julia, Michael, Joey, Nick, Aaron, Katie, and Sean, and her adored great grandchildren, Hailey and Jocelyn.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
