Patricia Hammond Obituary

Patricia A. Hammond, lovingly known as Patti, passed away on September 30, 2026, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey, at the age of 79.

Born on April 21, 1947, in Red Bank, New Jersey, she was a proud lifelong resident of Keyport, New Jersey, where she built a life centered on family, faith, and community. She was a devoted Christian and a longtime communicant of Saint Benedict Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel, New Jersey, where her presence and steady faith were a meaningful part of her life for many years.

In her younger years, Patricia met Raymond Hammond, and the two became friends. In their adult years, they reconnected, fell in love, and were married on June 15, 1968. Their marriage was a lasting partnership filled with love, devotion, and shared memories. Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond F. Hammond, as well as her caring parents, Dominick and Lena (Sarno) Trolian, her dear son-in-law, Gregory W. Johnson, and her kind siblings, Joseph Trolian, John Trolian, Ralph Trolian, Robert Trolian, and Elaine Weber.

Patricia was a loving and devoted mother to her wonderful daughters, Tina Johnson of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Dina DiGregorio and her husband Joseph of Aberdeen, New Jersey. She was also a cherished grandmother to Lucas DiGregorio, Keira Johnson, Sophia DiGregorio, and Jacob Johnson and a wonderful sister to Susan Bilotti, Douglas Trolian and Dominick Trolian.  Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She found great joy in creating new memories and sharing in the everyday blessings of family life.

Patricia spent many committed years working as a bus driver for the Holmdel Township Board of Education. She took pride in her work and in the responsibility of serving others with care and reliability. After retiring, she continued to be active in her community by working as a crossing guard in her hometown of Keyport. Her familiar and kind presence was appreciated by many, and she carried out her duties with the same dedication that marked every part of her life.

Patricia was known for her loving nature and her kind spirit. She had a talent for knitting from which she found both comfort and satisfaction in creating with her hands. Those who knew her will remember her warmth, her gentle heart, and the quiet strength she brought to those around her.

Her memory will be forever cherished by all who were blessed to know her. Patricia leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue to live on in the hearts of those left behind.  She will be deeply missed, always loved and never forgotten.
