Patricia DeAngelo

Patricia L. DeAngelo, fondly known as “Pat”,  a loving, creative, and selfless woman, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey, at the age of 86.

Born on December 18, 1939, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Patricia lived a life marked by devotion to her family, quiet strength, and a warm spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She was the beloved daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Malakowski) Pukel. Pat grew up surrounded by the bonds of family that would remain central throughout her life. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Helen Scalia, John Pukel, Stanley Pukel, and Adele Pukel.

Pat met the love of her life, Albert M. DeAngelo Jr., while they were working together at First Jersey National Bank in Jersey City, New Jersey. Their friendship blossomed into a lifelong partnership, and they were married on June 8, 1968. In 1970, they moved to Keyport, where they made their home and built a life filled with love, laughter, and family memories that would be treasured for generations.

Patricia especially treasured the time she was able to stay home caring for her husband and daughter. She embraced that role with devotion and grace, and her home became a place of comfort, warmth, and welcome. Her greatest joy came from being with the people she loved most, and she found deep fulfillment in the simple, meaningful moments of everyday family life.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Albert M. DeAngelo Jr.; her loving daughter, Michele Baird, and her husband, John; her cherished grandson, Kyle Sean Baird; her dear siblings, Robert Pukel, Joseph Pukel and his wife Maryann, Deborah Burzi, and Josephine Farley; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Patricia enjoyed the little pleasures that brought her happiness, including playing the computer game POGO, trying her luck with scratch offs, and crafting. Christmas was her favorite and most loved holiday, a season that reflected her love of family, tradition, and togetherness. She especially enjoyed cooking her weekly family dinner, a cherished tradition that brought everyone together and created lasting memories around the table. Above all else, Pat’s family was what mattered most to her, and she treasured every moment spent with them, especially family vacations that became some of the most meaningful times of her life.

Those who knew Patricia will remember her as a woman of kindness, creativity, and unwavering love. Her gentle presence, thoughtful nature, and deep devotion to her family left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to share in her life. She will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM, on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey   07735.
