Patricia "Pat" Ann Anitore, a cherished matriarch and person of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Roosevelt Care Center, in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Born on June 27, 1928, in Queens, New York, to the late Robert and Evelyn (Wisman) Ward, Pat's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Pat grew up in the bustling borough of Queens, where she attended local schools and nurtured a love for reading and painting, that would provide her with much joy throughout her life. During her high school years, Pat met Edward Anitore. and the couple married, setting the foundation for a family that would grow and flourish, under her care.
She moved from Midland Beach, Staten Island, to Sayreville, New Jersey, and then to Hazlet, New Jersey, where she remained. Her home was filled with the laughter of children, the warmth of shared stories, and the comfort of togetherness.
Pat's life was marked by her unshakable love for her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Anitore, her cherished sons-in-law, Michael Tronolone and Dr. George Batri, her caring brother Robert Ward and his wife Gloria. Her legacy continues through her loving children: Karen Tronolone, Barbara Sisto and her husband Frank, Diane Batri, Suzanne D'Amadeo and her husband Frank, and Edward Anitore and his wife Stephanie.
Her grandchildren—Michael, Gregory and wife Kelli, Kathleen, Jessica and husband Brett, Edward Jr., Nicole and husband Michael, Mark, Anthony, and Leslie—were the apples of her eye, and she reveled in their achievements and milestones. Pat also took immense pride and joy in her great-grandchildren, Michal and Sophia, who added a new layer of delight to her later years.
Pat will forever be remembered by those who knew her for her generosity and kindness. Her presence was a source of comfort, and she was most content when surrounded by her family. Her love knew no bounds, and her guidance was a steady force that will be deeply missed. She was a dedicated, daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be forever loved and never forgotten.
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know the warmth of her love. She has left behind a legacy of compassion and a family that embodies the best of her qualities.
