Pascal "Pat" Masino Obituary

“Where words fail, music speaks.”

Pascal Masino, fondly known as “Pat”, 69, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 7, 2024.  Pat was born on April 30, 1955, and grew up in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.  On October 16, 1999, Pat and his beloved wife, Joan, were married and began their life together.  About 20 years ago, they settled in Matawan, New Jersey.

Pat was a graduate of Seton Hall University with a double major in business and music.  Pat spent his career working  as a sales executive for multiple large companies in the food and beverage industry.  In addition, he had a passion for music and played multiple instruments, including the guitar (the twelve-string guitar was one of his favorites), bass guitar, piano, and banjo, to name a few.  Pat also had a long history as a professional musician throughout his life.  He even worked as a studio musician for a record label in New York, NY.   He was currently playing weekly in a worship band at Crossroads Worship Center, in Matawan NJ, where he made countless friends with those in the church community.   Recently, after his retirement, he was working on the Merchandising Execution Team at Home Depot.  Most of all, Pat was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.   He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Carmela “Millie” (Comito) Masino and his nephew, Greg Blazier.  Pat is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Joan (Ippolito) Masino, his loving stepdaughter, Rachael Licata, his cherished grandson, Christian Russo, his dear sisters, Elyssa Blazier Clark and her husband, Robert, and LuAnn Weiner, and his adoring nephews and niece, Chad Blazier, Drew Blazier and his wife, Ivy, and Susan Weiner, along with a treasured great niece and nephew, Ayana and Aldric Blazier, and extended family and friends.

In respect of Pat’s wishes, he will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Shore Point Funeral Home, 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.  Pat will be laid to rest alongside his parents at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 5, 2024, at St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, New Jersey 07067.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
