Nicole Parinis Romulus, 85, of Cliffwood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Nicole was born on October 16, 1938, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti to parents, Camille Joseph Parinis and Julia (Andre) Parinis. Nicole grew up in Haiti, where she met her husband, Gerard F. Romulus. On February 4, 1964, Nicole and Gerard were married and began their life together. In 1966, they immigrated to Canada, and shortly after in 1967, came to the United States. In 1977, they settled in Cliffwood, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family. Throughout the span of her career, Nicole proudly served as the Ministre Conseiller for Haiti with the United Nations. Most of all, Nicole was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Camille Joseph and Julia (Andre) Parinis, and her dear siblings, Edith Sylvestre and Camille Janvier. Nicole is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerard F. Romulus, her loving children, Johart C. Romulus and his wife, Yvette, of Dillwyn, Virginia, Marie Lenine Romulus, of New York, New York, Adalia B. Amatee (aka Hans D. Romulus) and his wife, Cara, of Keansburg, and Claudie-Nicole Ramirez and her husband, Yefersson, of Cliffwood Beach, and her dear siblings, Monique Nazon, Gladys Parinis, Michelle Fleurimont, Yves Parinis, and Claude Parinis. Nicole also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Jamie Nicole, Devhon Kenneth, Darven Carmelius, Sierra Yvette, Jacob Damien, Norah-Marie, Isabella Marie, and Robert Zion, and her adored great granddaughter, Amara Lee.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 8:30 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Parish – St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
