Nancy (Larkin) Young

Nancy Young, 90, of Port Monmouth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.  She was born Nancy Larkin on June 25, 1930 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Roy.  After marriage, Nancy and Roy began their lives together in Brooklyn, where they remained to raise their family.  Twenty years ago, Nancy moved to Port Monmouth, New Jersey.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Adelaide (Tartaglini) Larkin, her beloved husband, Roy Young, and her dear sister, Jane Semler.  Nancy is survived by her loving children, William Young and his wife, Joan, of Port Monmouth, and Kathleen Quaranta and her husband, Louie, of Union Beach, her cherished grandchildren, Danielle Diab and her husband, Billy, Patricia Young and her long-time boyfriend, Chuck Mobus, Dana Ward, John Young, Amanda Young and her partner, Rose Ford, and Nicholas Quaranta, and her adored great grandchildren, William Kane III, Liam and Asher Diab.  Nancy also leaves behind her adoring care-taker, Noreen Sphikas, many treasured nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Monday morning, June 14, 2021 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, June 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at The Church of St. Catherine of Laboure, 110 Bray Avenue, N. Middletown, New Jersey 07748.
