Nancy M. Tronolone, 91, of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 20, 2024, at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. She was born Nancy Maurer on November 12, 1932, in Irvington, New Jersey, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, John. Nancy and John were married and a few years later in 1957, they settled in Hazlet where they remained to raise their family. In 2004, Nancy relocated to Matawan. Before her retirement, Nancy worked as a receptionist for the mammography center at Bayshore Hospital. She also worked at Tom’s Ford in Keyport, where she made countless friends over the years.
Nancy was an excellent pianist and artist. She also loved a good party and happy hour and would never turn down a gathering with her family and friends. Nancy has made many cherished friends over the years and always had an open-door policy in her home; everyone was always welcome. Most of all, Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Franklin Bright and Ellen (Harper) Maurer, and her beloved husband, John Tronolone, her siblings, Clarence Maurer and his wife Grace, Gertrude Pierce and her husband Lew and her companion of many years, Albert Ackerly. Nancy is survived by her loving children, Darlene Pontecorvo and her husband, Anthony, Hazlet, and Darrell Tronolone and his wife, Lisa, of Wall, her dear stepdaughter, Carole Hessler of California, her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Pontecorvo, Matthew Pontecorvo, John Tronolone, Michael Tronolone, Megan Tronolone, and Grace Tronolone, and her treasured great grandchildren, Tyler Pontecorvo, Ella Pontecorvo, Julian Tronolone, and Lawrence Tronolone.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Saint John’s United Methodist Church, 2000 Florence Ave., Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey. In respect of Nancy’s wishes, she was privately cremated.
