Nancy Capasso Obituary

Nancy Capasso, 94, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at Complete Care in Holmdel, New Jersey, surrounded by the love of her family.

Nancy was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette (Imbrodi) Falco. She was born on March 25, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and built the foundation of a life marked by devotion, resilience, and deep family ties. It was also in Brooklyn that she met the love of her life, Pat Capasso.

After their marriage, Nancy and Pat remained in Brooklyn to raise their two beloved daughters. She embraced motherhood with unwavering dedication and poured her heart into creating a loving home for her family. Her life was guided by a quiet strength and a generous spirit, and she gave herself freely and completely to those she loved.

In 1981, Nancy and Pat retired to Toms River, New Jersey, where they enjoyed the next chapter of their lives together. Later, in 2018, Nancy moved to Holmdel, New Jersey, where she continued to be surrounded by the love of her family. Throughout every stage of her life, her world revolved around those closest to her, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she found her greatest joy in being with them.

Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pat Capasso, whose memory remained dear to her always. She is survived by her loving daughters, Nancy Ann Barbato and her husband Carmine, and Annette Pelo and her husband John. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Simone Egan and her husband Stephen, and Anthony Barbato and his wife Hattie, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Penelope and Ronan Egan. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Nancy gave her family a lasting example of unconditional love and devotion. She was happiest when she was spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she took great pride in watching her family grow. Her home and heart were always open, and her gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In respect of Nancy’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07735.  Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
