Michael J. Pastula

Michael J. Pastula, 76, of Toms River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Complete Care in Brick, New Jersey.  Michael was born on September 23, 1946, in Red Bank, New Jersey and grew up in Keyport.  In 1970, Michael moved to Cranford, New Jersey and ultimately in 1995, settled in Toms River, where he was currently residing.  Before his retirement, Michael worked as a line operator for L’Oreal Company in Westfield, New Jersey.  Michael was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the George P. Vanderveer American Legion Post 129 on Church Road in Toms River.  In his spare time, Michael enjoyed bowling and fishing.  Most of all, he was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Dorothy (Hilton) Pastula and his beloved son, Michael J. Pastula.  Michael is survived by his loving sister, Maureen Kirschman and her husband, Albert, of Parlin, New Jersey, his cherished grandchildren, Abby, Michael, Jake, and Nicholas Pastula, his dear nephew, William James and his wife, Christina, of Encino, California, and his treasured great nephew, little Billy James.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.  In respect of Michael’s wishes, he will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
