Michael Pastore

Michael Pastore, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Avenel, New Jersey, on February 11, 2026. Born on November 20, 1964, in Edison, New Jersey, Michael's life was a testament to his enduring kindness and the joy he found in simple pleasures.

Michael was the beloved son of the late Ronald and Patricia (McGeown) Pastore. His roots in New Jersey ran deep, having grown up and lived his entire life in Avenel.

A dedicated employee, Michael served as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for over three decades. His commitment to his work was evident in the care he took with every letter and package, and the friendly waves he shared with residents along his route. He retired in January 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and reliability that was respected by all who knew him.

Michael's interests were as unique as his personality. A music lover at heart, he had an unparalleled appreciation for the King of Rock 'n' Roll, Elvis Presley. Michael also had a sharp mind for solving newspaper crossword puzzles, a hobby that he approached with both patience and enthusiasm.  A historian buff, Michael had a particular fascination with the Kennedy family. He could often be found reading the latest biography or watching documentaries, eager to learn more about the political dynasty that captured his imagination.

Michael is survived by his previous wife and the mother of his children, Darlene (Contrino) Pastore, and his daughters, Samantha Faccone and her husband Joseph, and Emma Pastore and her fiancé Dante Baruffi, along with many cherished extended family members.  Michael will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
