Maureen Fox

Maureen Fox, 83, of Aberdeen, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.  She was born Maureen Monahan on July 22, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Eddie.  After marriage, Maureen and Eddie started their life and family together in Brooklyn, until 1967 when they relocated to West Babylon, New York.  Shortly after in 1970, they settled in Carteret, New Jersey. Most recently, Maureen moved to Aberdeen.   Maureen was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Helen (Ryan) Monahan, her beloved husband, Eddie Fox, and her sister, Michelle Monahan.  Maureen is survived by her loving sons, Ed Fox and his wife, Cleofe, of Aberdeen, and Billy Fox and his partner, Debra Borg, of Fanwood, her dear siblings, Bill Monahan, Pat Monahan, John Monahan and his wife, Diane, and Marilyn McLaughlin, her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Salazar Fox, Devin Loh, Kira Loh, Mike Carlucci, and Nicole Carlucci, and her adored great grandchildren, Isabella and Stella.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 6:30 PM during the visitation hours.  In respect of Maureen’s wishes, she will be privately cremated, and she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Eddie, at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
