Matthew Edward Hawryluk, Jr., 82, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey. Matthew was born on May 10, 1939, in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he was raised. He later moved to Hazlet, New Jersey in 1995 where he settled and remained. On November 11, 1961, Matthew married his beloved wife, Linda and they began their life together. Before his retirement in 2004, Matthew worked for Alpha Metals Manufacturers in the Quality Control Department for 45 years. He was also a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran.
He was predeceased by his parents, Matthew Edward, Sr. and Viola (Marchinski) Hawryluk, his brother, Raymond Hawryluk and his sons, Stephen Hawryluk and Matthew Edward Hawryluk, III. Matthew is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (Gardner) Hawryluk, his loving children, Andrew Hawryluk of Clark, New Jersey, Amy Mocarski and her husband Brian of Hazlet, New Jersey, and David Hawryluk and his wife, Sandy of Clifton, New Jersey, his cherished grandchildren, Lila Hawryluk, Abigail Hawryluk, Andrew (A.J.) Hawryluk, Brian Mocarski, Emma Hawryluk, Lacey Hawryluk, Madison Hawryluk, Tyler Hawryluk, Charlotte Mocarski, Ashleigh Hawryluk and Daniel Hawryluk, his dear siblings, Dolores Hladky of Florida, Florence Connelly of Cranford, New Jersey, Leonard Hawryluk of Cranford, New Jersey, Geraldine LaPrete of Kennilworth, New Jersey, and Norine Wilson of Cartaret, New Jersey, his daughters-in-law Vivian and Lisa Hawryluk, and "His babies Steffi and Schatzi who will miss him". Matthew will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday morning, January 13, 2022, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.
