Matthew P. Deane II, 69, of Colts Neck, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 31, 2023. Matthew was born on September 30, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up on Staten Island. In 1984, he relocated to New Jersey, where he remained to raise his family. Matthew received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and was an avid “Screaming Eagles” fan. He was a distinguished Investment Banker, Entrepreneur, and Senior Managing Director at Broad Street Capital Markets. Most of all, Matthew was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Geraldine (Loftus) Deane and Matthew P. Deane I, and his brothers, Phillip Deane, Paul Deane, and John Deane. Matthew is survived by his beloved wife, Donna (Hecht), his loving daughter, Alessandra of Hoboken, his dear siblings, Dorothy Deane and her husband, Dale Kempf, of Pittstown, Virginia Murphy and her husband, Thomas, of Atlantic Highlands, Edmond Deane and his wife, Donna, of Lakewood, Audrey Deane of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Martha Deane and her partner, Ellen of Lincroft, and Bridget Quinn of Matawan. Matthew also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Karen Deane and Yucha Deane, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023, from 8:00 to 8:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, September 6, 2023, at 9:15 AM at St. Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.
