Mary Catherine Avallone

Mary C. Avallone, 70, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Mary was born on July 29, 1951 in New Jersey, where she lived most of her life. On August 15, 1971, she married her devoted husband, Louis and they began their life together. Mary spent a majority of her successful career as a consultant at Deloitte., ultimately achieving partnership.  Her career provided her the opportunity to travel internationally, serving clients around the world. 

Her family described Mary as warm, generous, brilliant, and decisive.  She always provided the best advice.

She was predeceased by her father, James R. Frees and her brother, James P. Frees. Mary is survived by her adoring mother, Antoinette (Novak) Frees, her beloved husband of 50 years, Louis D. Avallone, her loving daughters, Jennifer M. Avallone and Lauren C. Miller, her son-in-law, Donald J. Miller, her darling grandchildren, Sophie C. and Luke J. Miller.  She is also survived by her cherished siblings, Vincent Frees and his wife Mary, Robin Frees wife of James P. Frees, Anne Baratta, Kathleen Grabowsky and her husband Richard, and Christine Frees, her brother-and-sister-in-laws, Rosemary and Thomas Dalton, Diane and William Opaluch, Joseph and Judith Avallone, and Felicia and John Sterlacci, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, September 12th from 2 to 6 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Rt. 35 N., Hazlet. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 PM. Entombment will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary to, United Way of Delaware, would be greatly appreciated.
