Marlene (Ross) Abrams

Marlene Abrams, 85, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Marlene Ross on September 3, 1934 in Newark, New Jersey and was raised in Irvington.  After marriage, Marlene and her husband, Stuart, moved to Union, New Jersey, where they raised their 3 children and spent their summers in Bradley Beach at her mom’s and sister’s rooming house. In 1990, Marlene and Stuart retired to Hallandale Beach, Florida and in 2018, she returned to New Jersey, settling in Hazlet.  Marlene was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was predeceased by her parents, David and Pearl (Dinsfriend) Ross, her beloved and devoted husband, Stuart Abrams, and her dear son, Thomas Abrams.  Marlene is survived by her loving sons, David C. Abrams and his wife, Coleen, of Holmdel, New Jersey and Jerald Abrams of Cambodia, along with her cherished grandchildren, Allisyn Abrams, Lesley Abrams and her fiance Michael Varca, Daniel Keenan and Thomas Abrams.  Marlene will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Due to the current COVID-19 health crisis, all services will be held privately for immediate family only.  Marlene will be interred at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey.  In lieu of flowers or food, the family has asked that donations be made in Marlene's name to the John BonJovi Soul Foundation, also fondly known as the "Soul Kitchen."
