Marilyn D. Davis, 84, of Manchester, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday evening, March 7, 2023, at The Villas of Holmdel. She was born Marilyn D. Mastrarrigo on February 11, 1939, at her family home in Bronx, New York and graduated from Irvington High School, Class of 1956. In her younger years, Marilyn spent her summers at her family’s farm in Keyport and in recent years, enjoyed spending her winters in Florida with her beloved husband, Stanley. About 20 years ago, she settled in Manchester, New Jersey. Before Marilyn’s retirement, she worked as a secretary for the University of Medicine and Dentistry for many years. Above all else, Marilyn was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved spending time with them. Marilyn will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas J. Burke. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband, Stanley Davis, Jr., her loving daughters, Judy Burke of Atlantic Highlands, and Linda Burke of Union, her dear brother, William Mara and his wife, Peg, of Warren, and her adored grandchildren, James and Julia Crowley.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning, March 11, 2023, from 9:00 to 9:45 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours on Friday evening. Entombment will follow at Ocean Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, New Jersey 08753.
