Marie Testa, 86, of Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, New York. She was born Marie Marino on September 21, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Anthony. On June 25, 1955, Anthony and Marie were married and began their lives together in Brooklyn, where they remained to raise their family. In 1987, they settled in Staten Island, New York. Marie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was adored by her family and all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Salvatore and Rosaria (Randazzo) Marino. Marie is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 65 years, Anthony C. Testa, and her loving daughters, Janice Angarano and her husband, Andrew, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, Karen Ciccone and her husband, Thomas, of Congers, New York, and Susan Sammarco of Old Bridge, New Jersey. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Angarano and his wife, Abriana, Anthony Angarano and his wife, Karoline, Thomas Ciccone, Alyssa DeVizio and her husband, Michael, Cynthia Barbetto and her husband, Michael, Robert Sammarco, Matthew Sammarco and his long-time girlfriend, Tiana, and Jonathan Sammarco, along with her adored great granddaughters, Adrianna and Annamarie, and her great grandson, baby boy Barbetto on the way. Marie will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday evening, October 1, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday morning, October 2, 2020 at 11:30 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 929 Bay Ridge Parkway, Brooklyn, New York 11228. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York 11735.
