Marie N. (LaBruno) Skop

Marie N. Skop, 79, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday evening, May 4, 2023 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey.  She was born Marie LaBruno on May 30,1943 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Frank.  On April 29, 1967, Marie and Frank were married and began their life and family together in Jersey City.  Several years later in 1975, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.  Marie will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Angelina (Fazzaro) LaBruno, her beloved husband, Frank "Mickey" Skop, and her siblings, Michael LaBruno and his wife Cathy, Nicholas LaBruno, Angela Richards, Linda LaBruno, and Victor LaBruno.  Marie is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Skop of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Michele Taddeo and her husband, Frank, of Middletown, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Frank and Briana Taddeo.  Marie also leaves behind her dear siblings, Anna Marandola and her husband, Giovanni, and Peter LaBruno and his wife, Kathy, her sister-in-law, Cathy Ann LaBruno, brother-in-law, Kevin Richards, and many adored nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visitation hours.  In respect of Marie's wishes, she will be privately cremated.  At a later date to be announced, Marie's cremated remains will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Frank, at Brigadier General William C.
