Marie E. (Penna) Fuerst

Marie E. Fuerst, 82, of Monroe, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center.  She was born Marie E. Penna on April 6, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up.  After marriage, Marie started her family in Brooklyn.  In 1981, she settled in Staten Island, New York, where she remained to raise her family.  Ultimately in 2012, she retired to Monroe, New Jersey, settling in the Rossmoor Community.  Before her retirement, Marie was the proprietor of her own recruiting company, MJB Staffing. 

While living in Monroe, Marie was an active member of the Rossmoor Community and made many friends over the years.  In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bacci ball, attending dinner dances hosted by the community, and was an active member of their Italian American Club.  In addition, Marie was a very proud, devout catholic.  In her later years, Marie adored spending time with her cherished grandchildren and her family.  She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.  Marie will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Jessie (Giangreco) Penna.  Marie is survived by her loving children, Jeannine Atlak and her husband, Edward, of East Windsor, and Bryan Fuerst and his husband, Dennis Forde, of Lincroft, her dear brother, Anthony Penna and his wife, Rosemary, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, her cherished grandchildren, Garrett, Peyton, and Noah, and her prior husband, Eric Fuerst.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning, May 22, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday morning, May 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM.  A committal service and entombment will follow at approximately 11:15 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10309.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
